Chief executive of Activision Blizzard, and current defender of the Golden Douche Belt, Bobby Kotick, apparently wants more money. Big surprise, huh? This time he feels it’s Microsoft holding out on him by not giving Activision a cut of its Xbox Live profits.

Geometry Wars 2, a game that’s worth much more than its $10 price tag (especially if you have a friend or three) is just $5 through the week. Seriously, its the right time to trade in one of your Subway tubes or Taco Bell poop boxes for Pacifism mode.

Press Start Studio’s iPhone anime-style shooter Twin Blades has made the leap onto the Xbox 360 via Live’s Indie Games service, and is now available for download. In the game you take control of a nun determined to rid her city of that awfully popular and persistent group we know as zombies.

Being a slow gamer is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, I never tire of “classic” games. Getting old with my games means I look at them in new ways, learn new things all the time, and rediscover the roots of some of my favorite genres and game series. But the flip side of that is that while everyone else is experiencing awesome graphics, incredible story, moving music, and increased interaction, I’m stuck in the slow lane, unable to join in the fun.
It would be easy enough to catch up with the times: just a buy a new “next-gen” game system. The question is, which one? If I were to shell out for any of the newest consoles, though, it would probably be an XBox 360. Still, I won’t buy it. I can’t buy it. It’s a Microsoft product. For Mac users (and I should qualify that by saying “switched to a Mac,” so it’s not as if I don’t have any PC experience at all), something with the Microsoft name on it is like death in a box.
