A Ringing Endorsement of the Spoony Bards!

So, last weekend, I attended Anime LA over at the LAX Marriott. I got to see the AniMaid Cafe again (check them out, they’re awesome, and I interviewed them last year), as well as look at a bunch of big-eyed anime girls. What? Don’t judge me!

Anyway, as with nearly all anime conventions, they had some video games as well, though the biggest draw in that arena was Rock Band. Being the video game music junkie that I am, however, my favorite part of the convention was seeing The Spoony Bards live.

I don’t know about you, but I personally am tired of crappy video games being cranked out whenever a “blockbuster” movie is released. Most of the time they either: A. Suck balls or B. Suck balls and have as much to do with the movie as Steven Seagal does with good acting.

These games look hastily made, shoddily programmed, and are usually just not fun. I think this may be due to a lack of substance in the movies and books they are based off of.
