I’ll make this short and sweet as I’m merely wasting the precious seconds you have to go take advantage of the offer mentioned in the title. EXOR Studio’s action racing game Zombie Driver is only $2.50 through the very small window of now until tomorrow morning (12/28) at 9 AM PT on Steam.

Just so we’re clear, that’s 100% vehicular zombie homicide for only 25% the price. If you’re looking for more, Valve’s digital distribution monster has been offering up a huge sale on a large amount of their catalog over the past several days, with titles big and small at a small fraction of their typical price.

Vehicular Zombslaughter: Zombie Driver Announced

The battle between human survivors and hordes of zombies can typically be summed up in one question: (How long) Can the individual or small group outsmart, outrun and/or totally outkill the infected before they are overtaken?

Overwhelmed by sheer physical numbers, humans must take advantage of their ability to think. For example, a person knows a zombie will probably stick to walking, but far too often their immediate response does not include getting inside a reinforced weapon-loaded tank of a car and painting the windshields red. A high percentage move that not nearly enough of the living take advantage of.

Exor Studios, who made the Free Source-based vehicle fighter mod D.I.P.R.I.P., however, understands this ‘hit zombies with car’ concept and as such has announced Zombie Driver, a downloadable PC title coming this November.

Cars vs Zombies: Clutch Released On Steam

Erik Johnson

Clutch1

There’s been quite a few zombie game releases over the past decade, with many exploring the dimensions of good conflict:

  • Zombie vs Man (Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, Dead Rising, etc.)
  • Zombie vs Nature (Plants vs Zombies)
  • Zombie vs Supernatural (Alien vs Zombie)
  • Zombie vs Himself (Stubbs the Zombie–who was essentially an undead Willy Loman)

Leaving only a void in Zombie vs Machine, fortunately there is now such a game that plays the part with the release of the sandbox racing/survival horror title Clutch.

Chris Burke

The Need for Speed series has been falling behind in its latest iterations. EA tried to reinvigorate “NFS:  Undercover” with a GTA-esque storyline and live-action cutscenes, but struck no chords with reviewers. Now NFS is back, with “SHIFT” vying for a spot in the driving-sim genre. Check out the jarring trailer after the jump.
