Bad Company 2 appears to be EAs attempt to make the Battlefield Franchise more like the Call of Duty franchise. This may seem like it could be a step in the right direction for anyone who owned a console last holiday season, but I’m probably the only person on the planet who didn’t find much to be impressed by in Modern Warfare 2, so you can imagine my surprise when my beloved PC favorite Battlefield: 2142 suddenly took a few steps backwards to accommodate Xbox live and destructible buildings.

Ok, we all know good Trek games are as rare as a squeamish Klingon, but Cryptic might just be on to something here. Not to say it’s “good” by industry standards, but it does break the mold a bit and has a lot more potential than, say, Star Trek: Legacy.

So, money’s going to be tight for me for the next few weeks, and I wanted to share with you all the reason why: I bought a new gaming computer. This’ll make Chris very happy since I’ll be able to review PC games and I’ll finally get to replace my 7 year old desktop.

Dante’s Inferno is a hack-and-slash hell simulator. By this I do not mean that it is an atmospheric game which takes place in the underworld, I mean you will feel like you are being judged and punished for your sins whenever you’re interacting with this game.

Bioware’s had no big competition in the RPG market, so calling their RPGs good has never been held up to the scrutiny of real competition. I’ve always believed Mass Effect to be Bioware’s attempt to create a real challenge for itself by dropping the Star Wars title and seriously competing in the futuristic third person shooters market, a place with more competition than a 24/7 reality show network.

After being thrown off its schedule a few weeks ago by being pulled off the Xbox Live Marketplace due to a buggy release and never actually seeing the light on PC, The Return to Ostagar DLC has been re-released for Dragon Age: Origins.
