A Ringing Endorsement of the Spoony Bards!

Adam Bruno

spoony bards

So, last weekend, I attended Anime LA over at the LAX Marriott. I got to see the AniMaid Cafe again (check them out, they’re awesome, and I interviewed them last year), as well as look at a bunch of big-eyed anime girls. What? Don’t judge me!

[Interview] VO Actress/Anime Producer Stephanie Sheh

Adam Bruno

Stephanie Sheh

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to interview Stephanie Sheh, a talented actress and producer in anime and video games. Her resume is extensive, and her video game credits include Odin Sphere, Tales of the Abyss, Suikoden V, and Resident Evil (she’s the current voice of Rebecca Chambers).

She’s also both produced and lent her voice to the popular anime series FLCL (Fooly Cooly), and her anime credits include Naruto, Bleach, Lucky Star, and Blood+. I also got to meet her friend Kei “K.” Yukon, who was nice enough to give her own input on some questions as well. They both even had some advice for those of us interested in voice-acting.

Gaming With the AniMaid Café!

Adam Bruno

AniMaid BannerKchan

Hi, Goshujin-Sama! At AX, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting an acting troupe that ran an interactive show called the AniMaid Café. At this show, patrons were given food and treated to a show. They were also assigned a maid and a host who would wait on their table and play games such as Jenga and Rock, Paper, Scissors with them. If the patrons won, they would be eligible to earn prizes. All said, it was a fantastic show. “But wait!” you say. “What’s this have to do with gaming?” Read on!

Pardon the delay, but I’ve got interviews, pics, and more to sort out, so the AX stuff will be released in installments. Think Xenosaga. Pictured above is the Atlus booth at the Exhibit Hall, and that’s just the start. Here come some more!
