Sony Entertainment, the company that brings you the Playstation 4, has decided to invest a bunch of money into their own free-to-play MMORPG called Dragon’s Prophet, but will their new interactive fantasy iteration outlast World of Warcraft?

Of course, it will!  They spent a lot of money on it!  And, IT’S FREE TO PLAY!!!!!!

Sign ups are currently open HERE, if you’re so inclined to participate, or if you’re a fan of riding on the back of a scaly creature that soars through the sky and spits hot fire from its mouth.  Frankly, I’m not a fan of barebacking, but I hold no judgements for anyone that is into that sort of thing.

Developer Runewalker’s new title Dragon’s Prophet takes you into the land of Auratia, where our titular mythological species roam free.  They are then captured, trained, and ridden by humans, so that freedom afforded them in the plot also seems pretty short-lived.

Either way, that seems pretty exciting!  Train a dragon to burn down villages at you leisure!  People aren’t fickle!  They’ll rebuild anyway!  What’s the point of living if you’re going to underestimate the strength of adaptation and civilization?

Unique classes are adapted to everyone’s separate playing style, so if you like stabbing people in the back like my ex-girlfriend, you can totally do that and be a complete heartless bi…  okay, that was almost inappropriate for a minute there.

So yeah, classes.  You can play a lot of them and they all play differently.  Also, there is a huge amount of lore already created for the game, and did I mention that it’s completely free to play?  I don’t know if I did. It doesn’t hurt to say it again, does it?

Either way, check it out and play it now!  SOE and Runewalker’s Dragon’s Prophet are waiting in vain for your love.  Don’t leave her standing alone!  Go to her!
