The Xbox One tech specs were presented during the reveal event today. They include the familiar: 8GB of RAM, an 8-Core CPU, WiFi Direct, USB 3.0, and a Blu-ray drive; and the weird fact that the new console runs on not one, not two, but three operating systems.
The Xbox One utilizes an improved Xbox OS, a kernel of Windows 8, and a brand new OS that connects the two for a seamless experience.
The Kinect has also gotten a makeover. Not only is it far more accurate (capable of sending over 2 gigabits of data per second), but it can now understand finer motor movements and balance.
The controller has been redesigned to be more ergonomic with a better battery compartment. The controller also features dynamic impulse triggers that games can use to deliver feedback, and the D-Pad has gotten a complete makeover.
In terms of networking, the new Xbox Live will utilize 300,000 servers, including a massive cloud system that will backup all saves and media online.
