New Halo: Reach Trailer is Kinda Lame

I’ll admit, I am a bit of a Halo fanboy. I’ve read all the books (except for The Flood, because it’s shit) and I’ve played way too much of the games. I’m even seriously considering ordering a Master Chief costume hoodie. Because I’m such a fanboy I was really excited for the new Halo: Reach trailer. I wasn’t able to watch the VGAs, but I rushed home as soon as I could to hop online and watch the video.

Let’s just say I was REALLY FUCKING DISAPPOINTED!

The graphics only look slightly better than those in Halo 3: ODST. It even looks like it’s the same engine. Also, there’s no action at all in the trailer! It’s just Spartans walking around and talking to each other. Really Bungie, this is how you get people excited for your next game? There isn’t even much new information in it. Yeah, we learn that there will be more than one Spartan in the game, but people have been speculating that since the first teaser. It’s not really a big surprise.

Where’s the excitement, the suspense? After Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2, Halo isn’t the untouchable juggernaut that it once was.  Bungie will have to bring their best if they want to stay competitive.
