8-Bit Left 4 Dead Revealed, Free PC Release in January
| Erik Johnson |
While we’re just a couple of hours away from the release of Left 4 Dead 2 (midnight Eastern time), a developer by the name of Eric Ruth is working on his own version of the original L4D. Only his version is an 8-bit NES-style title.
If all promises are kept, the title will be a fully playable version of the game with support matching what would be available through an original Nintendo Entertainment System title, including only one or two players, as of course there was no four player co-op anything for the NES.
Luckily you won’t have to have a modded NES to play the full version, which Ruth says will see a free release for the PC sometime in early January. Check out the trailer for the game and Big Download’s interview with Ruth.
