Vehicular Zombslaughter: Zombie Driver Announced
| Erik Johnson |
The battle between human survivors and hordes of zombies can typically be summed up in one question: (How long) Can the individual or small group outsmart, outrun and/or totally outkill the infected before they are overtaken?
Overwhelmed by sheer physical numbers, humans must take advantage of their ability to think. For example, a person knows a zombie will probably stick to walking, but far too often their immediate response does not include getting inside a reinforced weapon-loaded tank of a car and painting the windshields red. A high percentage move that not nearly enough of the living take advantage of.
Exor Studios, who made the Free Source-based vehicle fighter mod D.I.P.R.I.P., however, understands this ‘hit zombies with car’ concept and as such has announced Zombie Driver, a downloadable PC title coming this November.
The game will feature 17 missions along with bonus objectives and other subquests, mainly focusing on the rescuing of stranded survivors inv a timely manor. That’s not to say you won’t be doing your fair share of undead re-killing. With miniguns, flamethrowers, rocket launchers, railguns and all their upgrades attached onto a selection of murder-mobiles, your only worry will be stalling out when your working a red figure eight into the pavement.
The debut trailer shows how smooth it is to run shit over:
A release date, playable demo or anything else relevant will be posted as it arrives.
