And This Little Piggy Played Wii: Cops Caught Playing Games While on Duty

Florida Police this week proved that any time is a good time to play some Wii.

Even during a raid.

Apparently, while on a run-of-the-mill, bore-fest of a police raid on a drug dealers house, some Polk County, Florida police officers discovered said drug dealers Wii and realized that the REAL action had just begun!

What epic piece of game software could have pulled the police officers out of their black-hole of monotonous drug-raiding? I mean, the kind of Sarah-plain-and-tall-type raid of boring door-bashing, tedious gun-flaunting, and drab house-searching? Why, only the most exciting game of them all, Wii Bowling!

Surveillance video obtained by WFLA in Tampa caught the officers playing a Nintendo Wii bowling game, with one furiously jumping up and down in celebration. Officials say some of the officers could be disciplined.

Officers with the anti-drug task force had just stormed into the home of the convicted drug dealer, who was already in custody. One Polk County sheriff’s detective can be seen taking several breaks from cataloging evidence so she can bowl frames.”- Associated Press

Man, video cameras don’t let cops get away with nothin’! In a house full of guns, illicit drugs, and probable stores of ill-gotten money, the cops get busted for doing this.

Genius.

If only the cops in the picture were American and not British…nitpicky detail aside, this would make for a pretty funny episode of CSI:Miami. :P So clearly they were playing Wii Sports, from the sound of it?
