Edge of Twilight Intrigues the Pants off of Me
| Chris Benson |

Where the hell did this game come from? The last I heard of it was back in 2007, when it was some generic-looking snooze-fest. Then, along comes E3 ‘09, and suddenly I find myself adding it to my must-buy games list. Fuzzyeyes Studio, whose last game was Hot Dog King: A Fast Food Empire, hasn’t exactly been one of my favorite developers, but based on the strength of two recently-released trailers for Edge of Twilight, that may change.
I love the game’s setting, a distinct steampunk-oilpunk-fantasy mishmash that’s a refreshing change from the ubiquitous near-future or WWII settings of the current generation. And, I love the sound design. There’s some truly excellent music and narration in these trailers. I even love the fact that it’s not an RPG.
Yeah, I know. That was another surprise Fuzzyeyes threw my way. Edge of Twilight is a game, with the potential for a great story and fleshed-out world, that’s a 3rd-person actioner, likened to Devil May Cry of all things.
Watch these trailers, and just try to not be interested. I dare you.
