New Site Turns Halo 3 Screenshots Into Art

Bungie has announced haloscreenshots.com, where you can order fine art prints of your favorite images taken in Halo 3.

Since Halo 3 was released, there has been a small subset of the fanbase that has figured out how to create incredible images by using nothing but in-game features and assets. Now, haloscreenshots.com can turn those images into professional quality prints that you can hang on your wall.

For those who are not regular inhabitants of the Halo universe, this is how it works…

1. Using the screenshot functionality built into the Halo 3 game, users capture and create custom screenshot images.
2. These images are then stored, organized and shared in the community file share on bungie.net.
3. You then browse the screenshots on bungie.net and click the “buy print” link to view that image on our product build page.

You can buy your prints on paper or canvas, and can even have them framed. The downside, of course, is that professional grade prints don’t come cheap. A 16 x 9 inch framed paper print will cost you $44.99 and getting it on canvas is even more expensive. What I can’t seem to find, though, is an indication of whether that money goes to the “artist”, or creator of the screenshot.
